MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TEGNA Inc. (NYSE: TGNA), formerly Gannett Co., Inc., today announced it has invested in The Video Call Center, LLC (VCC), a video technology and content company. The VCC uses patented television workflow technology to create live, original content from video callers. The technology will be used by TEGNA Media, the largest independent station group of major network affiliates in the top 25 markets, reaching approximately one-third of all television households nationwide.

The Video Call Center has created a new genre of television called video caller television, where entire programs are built with video callers from anywhere in the world. TEGNA Media plans to use the VCCs technology to create innovative, original, lower cost programming across broadcast, social, mobile and online. The VCC has already produced more than 100 hours of live programming including a full month of live, daily shows on TEGNA Medias KUSA in Denver. The KUSA programming focused on the Colorado Theater Shooting Trial and featured experts, attorneys and callers from across the country exchanging questions and comments about the trial live on-air.

We believe this digital technology will foster innovation in the area of live, interactive programming across multiple platforms, said Dave Lougee, president, TEGNA Media. This forward-thinking partnership positions us well digitally, and in the future, as the VCC seamlessly combines social media, television and the web to maximize viewer engagement.

The VCC uses specialized and patented technology to build full shows of callers, screened in real-time, and selected live by the shows host. Special techniques are used to improve video call reliability. The VCC was created by long-time network executive and former Wall Street analyst Tom Wolzien, and developed by a team of broadcast, software, and hardware experts.

The Video Call Center is re-inventing television and TEGNAs investment will help speed that re-invention process across the industry, said Wolzien, founder, creator and chairman of The Video Call Center. Within five years, video caller television will be a mainstay among broadcast stations, cable networks and web services seeking to extend viewer interaction.

Photo Canvas Prints by Andrew bourke

Have you ever wondered what your favourite photo on canvas would look like? Once my friend got there photo of their holidays printed on canvas and it something that is very unique I would say. He found a great website online and sent them his images and they transformed his photos on to lovely canvas prints, Im now a really big fan and Im looking to get my own.

First of all I will be looking at allot of websites as with this current climate you need to look for the bargains and I bet there is allot of great canvas printing businesses out there that not only can print your photos on canvas for a great prince but Im obviously looking for the best quality to which hopefully is going to be the case because sometimes its worth paying a little bit more for the quality in a product, especially if its something like a canvas print and you want to have the best materials and the best printers working on your order.

I just love the texture of them, you would think that to print with ink onto a pollycotton texture you would get some imperfections but that isnt the case, if you run your hand of the canvas print you will see that you even get the bumpy effect that you get from a real canvas painting, this helps if you are looking to have your artwork printed on canvas also.

I was told that if youre looking to have canvas printing of your own photo then the best photo to have is of course a photo of your loved ones but I suppose that is the beauty of canvas prints is that you could have any image or photo printed and it would look amazing. I know this because my friends canvas print is a replicated image of his own photo and to have a printer that does this magic is just brilliant. The other thing I love so much about the canvas and inks that is used for canvas printing is how vibrant the colour are, it really is something else when you see that the canvas prints colours looks even better than your own image that is something special.

So yes the main reasons why Im so want to have some canvas photo printing done is the fact that the canvas look and feel is so much like a real canvas, also the colours are just breath taking and theres one good reason that i have missed out and that would be the frame they come on looks so cool to. Reason being is because the frame is a thick gallery frame and it really does make you canvas look like a work of art and just gives the whole canvas print a fantastic finish and slots perfect into your wall space. Just got to make sure that the wall Im putting the canvas print on is big enough.

How to Download iPad iBooks

The iBooks app is Apple's e- book reader designed for the use of buying or downloading iBooks from their iBookstore to your ipad. The iPads iBooks application supports the standard ePub format as well as books you purchase through the iBookstore.

This means that you can use the huge library of free ipad books available from Project Gutenberg & Google Books, or you can purchase e-books from stores such as Amazon or Barnes and Noble.

You can download the iBooks app for free from the App Store on your iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch. iBooks includes the iBookstore and an iTunes Store account is required to download from the iBookstore.

To download ipad books, follow the steps below:

Buy a book online and save it to your PC or Mac.

If the book is not in an ePub format but in some other ebook format like .lit or even .pdf, convert it to ePub using http://beadedblingsandthings.com free converters (like Calibre).

Open iTunes and add it to your library. The book will now show up under the Books section of your library.

Connect your iPad to your computer.

When the iPad shows up on your iTunes library, click on its books section, and select the sync button. The iPad will now sync with your iTunes library and books in your iTunes library will transfer to your iPad library you have the option to sync all books, or sync selected books. When you buy a book it automatically appears on your iBooks bookshelf.

Now my major problem with iBooks is that you can pay up to $14 dollars to acquire one ebook. Whether you are a voracious reader or not it can get pretty costly especially since the iBookstore will often bring up only for-pay versions of many books.

Instead of paying for each and every title you can join a membership site. myPadMedia is the internet's latest eBook downloading service. For a one time fee of $49.95 you can download thousands of ipad ebooks including bestsellers and textbooks, newspapers and comics legally and safely.

myPadMedia grants you access to the fastest iPad downloads on the net. Members have unlimited access without restrictions,to free novels, comics, newspaper and more. They provide free 24 hour Technical Support, no monthly or "Pay Per Download" fees and a huge Media Selection.

$49.95 works out to just 0.2 cents per ibook download...but you'll get more & more value as my pad media https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/find-my-iphone/id376101648?mt%3D8 library is ever growing and new titles are added regularly.....I would consider My Pad Media as 'FREE' rather...compare 0.2 cents Vs $14.99).
